More information about Hector Shaw + Finn Brodie tickets

Glasgow-born Hector Shaw wrote his first song aged fifteen after devouring a Joni Mitchell record. Since then, he has written many more and performed across the UK, garnering acclaim from national press for his open, literary, folk-adjacent songwriting. His lyrics pack rich metaphors with universal questions and his voice has been praised for its vulnerable energy.

Hector released his debut EP Gravity in 2021, garnering radio play on BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Introducing, as well as features in publications like the National, The Scottish Sun and Folk Radio UK. He has toured with Roddy Woomble (Idlewild), supported Scottish indie favourites like Katie Gregson-Macleod and Lizzie Reid, and played the likes of Cambridge Folk Festival, Celtic Connections and Belladrum's Tartan Heart.

"Hector Shaw has already delivered on his promising talents in spades to date, and a bright future is just over the horizon, which you can expect him to reach sooner than later." *Small Music Scene*

"Calling to mind Solid Air era John Martyn [...] a name to watch out for." *Folk Radio UK*
