Turn the clock back 6 years and Jim Lockey & the Solemn Sun were fighting tooth and nail to secure a place as one of the hardest working bands in the UK. After signing with Xtra Mile Recordings (home to Frank Turner, Future of the Left and Against Me!) and releasing their second album “Death” in 2012, the band filled the following 18 months with a 30 date UK headline run and a US tour supporting Dropkick Murphy’s alongside appearances at UK and EU festivals and made a welcome return to SXSW.

Counting Zane Lowe and Frank Turner as fans they were branded as ‘Next Hype’ on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show, gained further support from Radio 1 as part of their In New Music We Trust playlist and backed Frank Turner at the Olympics Opening Ceremony to an estimated audience of 25million people.

JL&TSS once again return armed with a set filled with fan favourites from both the ‘Death’ and ‘Atlases’ albums.

“Amazing. A beautiful piece of music with a heavy message” - Zane Lowe

“A Mumford-like blend of folk, country and punk” - NME

“Corking debut from rising UK rockers… Acoustic-led songs that bristle with an energy redolent of a punk rock record collection and love concerts in hot rooms. A blast.” 4/5 - Kerrang!

“Death is a triumph… equal parts Gaslight Anthem and Frank Turner” 5/5 - Big Cheese

“…One of, if not the best, singer-songwriters I’ve met… Deserves to be massive” - Frank Turner
