Mhusika - Let's picnic and party

Mhusika is the perfect foil to Wellyfest with family evening entertainment to round of the day in style.  An early evening concert to take advantage of the warm summer days will feature four hugely entertaining groups and bands.

Our headline artists are a collective of performers who have all starred in musicals in London’s West End and will perform music from their hit shows including “The Lion King” and “Wicked”. They will be backed by Wakefield’s Rodillian Singers who will also perform some of their own material.

Nick Pacey and his Roustabout band will entertain the audience with their Elvis hits. Nick has performed Elvis’ hits at venues as diverse as Belvoir Castle and Canterbury Cathedral and following one of his concerts was complimented on the authenticity of his act by no other than Wayne Mann, Elvis’ cousin who lived with the star for five years.

The Hicksville Bombers will entertain the audience with their rockabilly style singing their own material alongside well known classics.

Our Mhusika early evening concert is suitable for all ages again and with four acts for the price of one it is excellent value for families.

Our aim is to bring the highest quality of performer to a location which is within an hour’s drive of up to 4 million people. Despite this huge local population our audience is kept to a level which means that anyone who wishes to access an activity should have the time to do so. Our on stage performances can be seen by all present, audience members will not need binoculars to catch a glimpse of the performers.

The Great Big Woolley Wellyfest and Mhusika are gentle but exciting events happening right here in Yorkshire. Why not explore your creative side and enjoy music, dance, story telling and performance in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. For many families this could be the start of a lifelong adventure and enjoyment of the arts.
