Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Jimmy Cliff, soul music legend Candi Staton and the formidable family band Sister Sledge headline the ninth instalment of Mostly Jazz, Funk & Soul Festival, which runs from 6th-8th July 2018 following another sell out year in 2017.
The festival is set in the truly beautiful and unique setting of Moseley Park, Birmingham. Moseley, recently voted #1 place to live in the UK (Sunday Times), plays host to a weekend of blistering live music attracting people from all over the world who gather to see International legends alongside the latest contemporary breakthrough artists from the world of Jazz, Funk & Soul.
Mostly Jazz, Funk & Soul Festival is produced by the team behind Moseley Folk Festival (in its thirteenth year) and Lunar Festival (returning for it’s fifth year).
Last year’s sell-out Mostly Jazz, Funk & Soul Festival saw Chaka Khan, Soul II Soul and St Paul & The Broken Bones headline. Other phenomenal performances came from Sugarhill Gang Feat. Melle Mel & Scorpio, Lee Fields & The Expressions, The Pharcyde, Craig Charles, Omar, Crazy P, The Comet Is Coming, Don Letts and many more. The likes of George Clinton Parliament Funkadelic, De La Soul, Gregory Porter, Fun Lovin Criminals, Chic Feat. Nile Rogers and Public Enemy have also provided headline performances at past Mostly Jazz, Funk & Soul festivals.
