Grow Your Own: Oysters Mushrooms on Coffee Grounds at Chelsea Physic Garden
Grow your own Oyster Mushrooms on coffee ground, with Jodie and Lorraine of the Caley Brothers, mushroom cultivators and exhibitors.
As mushroom growers, we aim to connect people to the world of fungi and growing gourmet mushrooms in an easy and accessible way. All our kits have been consciously designed to be reused, recycled or composed.
We will chat all things mushrooms, from the basics, and delving into other areas that mushrooms and fungi can now be found. We will also demonstrate how you can grow your own mushrooms at home on reclaimed coffee grounds whilst also covering all aspects of growing mushrooms, answering any questions along the way.
As part of your ticket you will take home your own coffee kit so you too can get growing on your own coffee grounds or alternative substrate.
This event will go ahead indoors at the Gallery space, which unfortunately is not wheelchair accessible.
When you arrive:

Please note:
Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and must remain under close supervision as there is deep water and numerous poisonous plants.
Registered support dogs are welcome in the Garden, no other pets are allowed.
Unfortunately we cannot look after your luggage and we don't have any cloakroom facilities at the Garden.
There are a couple of council bike racks on Royal Hospital Road, unfortunately we do not have racks in the Garden due to lack of space and we can't look after your bicycle for you.
