Sam Dickinson and his band comes to Darlington for the first time in four years to celebrate the release of his new album, 'Off Script'. Hosted by the fabulous Miss Ann Bag who will also bring her amazing cabaret show to the stage. The evening promises to be filled with fun, camp and music.
Sam Dickinson is no stranger to Darlingon having sold out shows in the town since 2010. He has been championed by the likes of Paul O'Grady, Alan Carr, Melanie Sykes and Graham Norton, who said, "he just keeps on getting better and better". His music has been regularly played on BBC Radio 2. Spotify have added his songs onto some of their biggest playlists, his music has been championed by the likes of Gabrielle (Dreams, Out of Reach), Candi Staton (Young Hearts Run Free, You Got The Love), Beverley Knight (Shoulda Woulda Coulda, Come As You Are) and Jaki Graham (Set Me Free, Could It Be I'm Falling In Love).
In 2021 he is opening for Alexandra Burke. The Newcastle born pop singer songwriter released his new album, 'Off Script', last October to critical acclaim and will showcase it in Darlington along with a host of some of his favourite tracks from the 90's. His music has been listened and viewed online close to 1,000,000 times and he is currently writing for artists on major labels around the world.
The evening will be hosted by the fabulous and gorgeous Miss Ann Bag who will bring her own cabaret to the stage prior to Sam's performance. Miss Ann Bag is a regular feature across Darlington having sold out many shows as well as previously being a regular on Darlo Radio. Last Christmas she is hosted the Big Christmas Lunch for the elderly and vulnerable of Darlington, which was featured in the Northern Echo. She is a finalist at the LGBTQ NE Awards in the Inspirational Leader Category. Miss Ann Bag is a jewel of Darlington and her show is not to be missed.
