“That incredible voice she possesses seems god-given, much like the way Bonamassa has a god-given talent to play the guitar, Sari Schorr has been blessed with a voice not of this world.”- Devil’s Gate Media
"The quality of the record frequently touches jaw-dropping. Sari Schorr & the Engine Room have just made one of the blues records of the year” –
10/10 Maximum Volume Music
“Dirty blues; gritty vocals, and a deep personal commitment have catapulted New
Yorker, Sari Schorr, into the spotlight as one of the hottest new blues rock singers around. She’s a major new player on the blues scene. Catch her now.” Edinburgh Jazz Festival
“During her performances her vocal range and delivery are a compelling combination that just holds your attention right from the start, casting a spell over the audience that is incredible to witness” – Blues Matters
“A deeply personal album for Schorr, Force of Nature is a hailstorm of an album sure to go down in blues history”. – Blues Rock Review
The band are heavy but not metal; they dig out grooves and stretch tunes in to new shapes and clearly enjoy doing so – the enjoyment on stage was apparent from the opening riff to final cymbal splash.
“One of the most recognisable tunes that should arguably never, ever be covered is Ram Jam’s Black Betty, yet this stripped back, pain-infused piece of musical magnificence takes on a whole new lease of life and comes out the other side reborn and rejuvenated in ways otherwise unimaginable.”

Then with a shining energy Sari stepped onto centre stage, the venue lit up with the effervescent sexy presence of a women who sings the blues with passion at its heart and controlled emotion. The venue was fizzing with pure enjoyment of music that was hitting the high notes and sending shivers down our collective backbones.
With so much critical acclaim for the new album and Sari fast becoming one of the hottest new blues rock singers of 2016, it’s unlikely that Sari and The Engine Room will play such intimate venues in future, the remaining dates on this tour may be your only opportunity.
National Rock Review
“This recording is another audiophile gem, where Schorr, a Brooklyn based (New York Blues Hall of Fame) singer, attacks these sizzling originals and covers with sweltering passion and an untethered, magnanimous voice”
