That Joe Payne: Acoustic Showcase
The Picturedrome, Northampton.
Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. We cannot issue refunds to under 18s who are not accompanied by an adult.
The event will feature a variety of stripped back versions of That Joe Payne's collaborative works, with never before heard acoustic renditions of songs by The Enid, Methexis, the newly released John Holden Music album “Capture Light”, as well as his own solo material.
Special guests include Nikitas Kissonas, the writer behind the musical project Methexis and the album “Suiciety” which Payne featured on in 2015. Kissonas will be joining Payne in part for his set, and will also be performing a support slot to promote his new album “Topos”, released later this year.
More guests to be announced soon.
On Friday 2nd March 2018, That Joe Payne relaunched himself as a solo artist following a two-year sabbatical from music since his retirement from The Enid in 2016. In an unlucky turn of events, freak weather interrupted the planned launch show, with extreme snow and ice conditions making it impossible for most people to travel. The show went ahead, but there were over 100 people who never made it at all. Therefore, in collaboration with The Picturedrome, That Joe Payne has organised this Acoustic Showcase which is free to anyone who possesses an unused ticket from the 2nd March. Using the documents from the Launch Show, Payne is able to confirm the names of anyone who wasn’t in attendance despite their commitment to coming.
A semi-seated event, limited extra tickets have been released to the public, available here on See Tickets.
