Your concert chairman, on behalf of the committee, is pleased to announce the return of ‘The Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club’ at The Talleyrand (affiliated). Once again showcasing some of our very favorite contemporary friends, bands, and artists from the local Manchester scene and further afield.

Doors are at 18:30 and tickets are £9 in advance. Guarantee yourself entry to what will be an unforgettable and intimate night.

TIGERS AND FLIES

Tigers and flies operate on the ethos that energy and melody are not mutually exclusive. With

enough cowbells to start a small dairy farm, and a sonic vitality enforced by brass, gang vocals and a sense of urgency, Tigers and Flies make music to make friends to. The group are routinely baffled by existential dread and Microsoft excel, asking: Can a household appliance handle a workplace grievance? What do man and goose make of light industry? And can you ever scratch that Margate itch? The conclusions are rarely found, but that won’t stop Tigers and Flies from looking, often falling but always laughing as they go.

The band with the best collection of trousers in Manchester. Harpans Kraft are a five-piece post-punk band based in Manchester, noted for their flair for weaving together jangly textures with a subtly menacing funkiness.

Iplu is the primary alias of Arthur "Junior" Robinson, who constructs abstract electronic music with close to as little equipment as humanly possible. The clicks and beeps of a cold, confused machine meet the melodic warmth of a big indie pudding.
