Where would you be without literacy?
Rosewood London, London.
Join us for breakfast over inspiring conversation at Rosewood London’s Scarfes Bar on Thursday, 6 September 2018 at 8:30am - 10:00am
In recognition of International Literacy Day, we are bringing together three formidable women to share their inspiring stories and the role education has played in their paths to success:
- Sam Baker – published author and founder of The Pool
- Geetha Murali - CEO, Room to Read
- Thiramugal Kuvendran – graduate on the Room to Read Girls’ Education Programme in Sri Lanka
Literacy is a skill so seemingly taken for granted in our society today and yet poses one of the greatest challenges for the developing world in turn perpetuating a cycle of poverty.
