Abd al Malik, born R├®gis Fayette-Mikano (Paris, 14 March 1975) is a French rapper and spoken word artist of Congolese origin. He took part in the group NAP (New African Poets). In 1999, he converted to Islam. He is married to French Moroccan singer Wallen with whom he has a child. He is signed with Universal Music France. Born in Paris in 1975, Abd al Malik, he and his 6 brother and sister moved to Brazzaville, Congo from 1977 to 1981 before coming back to Strasbourg, France.
