Explore the beautiful Berkshire town of Windsor at your own pace with its rich Royal history, pretty countryside walks and a quaint town centre.

See Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, explore the opulent State Apartments with their priceless artworks, including pieces by Rembrandt and Leonardo Da Vinci and pay a visit to St George’s Chapel, the final resting place of Queen Mary, Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth II. The tour is unescorted, accompanied by an audio guide and lasts approximately two hours.

Windsor Castle opening hours:

Windsor Castle is only open Thursday to Monday. 1st of March to 31st of October 10am - 5.15pm (last admission time 4pm) 1st of November to 28th of February 10am - 4.15pm (last admission time 3pm) Semi-State Rooms During the winter months an additional five rooms, known collectively as the Semi-State Rooms, are included in the visitor route. The Semi-State Rooms at Windsor Castle are currently closed and will open later in 2024.. Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House is currently closed for planned improvement works. St George’s Chapel St. George’s Chapel is usually closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Worshippers are welcome to attend the services. Windsor Castle closures: Every Tuesday and Wednesday Friday, 29 March 2024 - Castle closed. Sunday, 31 March 2024 - Castle opens at 13:00. Sunday, 21 April 2024 - Last admission 12:00, Castle closed 13:15. Sunday, 16 June 2024 - State Apartments closed Monday, 17 June 2024 - Castle closed 24-26 December Castle closed
