Explore the very best of the worldwide phenomenon of Downton Abbey in this full day tour from London! Brimming with fascinating locations and history on the TV show, you will get to discover it all including the village of Bampton, the wonderful Highclere Castle and Yew Tree Farm (Cogges).

    Yew Tree Farm (Cogges)

The first stop on your Downton Abbey adventure will be to Yew Tree Farm (Cogges). This is a familiar place to any true Downton Abbey fan and you will recall this location first appearing in series four with previous tenant farmer – Mr Drewe. Other storylines including that between Charles Blake and Lady Mary also unfolded here!

During your visit to Yew Tree, you’ll also get to indulge in a tea break in the Cafe at Cogges where you can settle down to a cup of the good stuff before venturing into the great house.

    Village of Bampton

You will then get to take in the beautiful views of the Cotswolds as you drive to the village of Bampton. Used throughout the Downton Abbey TV series, this village has many gorgeous 17th and 18th century houses to admire alongside Bampton Library used in the show for the hospital! St Mary’s church within Bampton was used for Downton Church.

    Free Lunch Pack

Enjoy a free lunch during your Downton Abbey trip with our freshly made lunch pack.

    Highclere Castle

One of the best highlights of your Downton Abbey exploration will be the trip to Highclere Castle, home of the Grantham family. This visit is made extra special as entrances to Highclere Castle are in high demand due to its limited openings throughout the year.

On arrival, you will have time to venture through the idyllic gardens and explore the Monk’s Garden, White Border, Secret Garden and Wood of Goodwill.

You’ll then get to go inside Highclere Castle and explore the exuberant State Rooms which include the saloon, the library, dining room, music room, drawing room and smoking room. Afterwards, you can discover the bedrooms and the gallery followed by the staircase through the heart of the castle. Some of the most iconic scenes in Downton Abbey were filmed here – see if you recognise them!

After departing Highclere Castle, you will return to London for approximately 6.30pm.
