    Monday to Friday from 9.30am
    Location: Westminster Abbey North Door and Cellarium Cafe Entrance

    Please Note timings for 2019:
    • Monday to Friday:  Due to daily service there will be no entry between 12:00pm to 1:00pm. However visitors already in the Abbey do not need to leave during this time.
    • The Abbey is a fully working church therefore we are subject to closures at short notice.
    • Saturday 09 March: Closed all Day
    • Monday 11 March: Closed all Day
    • Wednesday 20 March: Open 9:30am -12:00pm, Closed in the afternoon. 
    • Thursday 21 March: Open 9:30am -01:00pm, Closed in the afternoon.
    • Tuesday 16 April:  Open 9:30am - 1:00pm, Closed in the afternoon.
    • Friday 19 April: Good Friday the Abbey is closed all day to visitors.
    • Thursday 25 April: (Anzac Day) open from 2:00pm
    Hop-on Hop-off Bus Tour: Daily
    Buses Depart Every 5-10 mins from Main Tourist Points and Every 15-20 mins from elsewhere

    Departure point: You can join the tour from any of our 60 stops. Each of our stops will be clearly signposted Golden Tours Hop on Hop Off/London Tour Bus.

    Westminster Abbey

    The Routes

    The Pick Up/Drop Off Route (Yellow route): Operating in the morning, this route travels from the popular hotel districts to Central London.
    The Thames Route (Lilac Route): This route will take you to the doorstep of London’s most iconic landmarks and locations around the heart of the Thames including Parliament Square and St James’s Palace.

    • Westminster Abbey will be closed on Saturday 9 March, Monday 11 March, Wednesday 20 March open from 09.30-12.00, closed in the afternoon. On Thursday 21 March it will be open between 09.30-13.00, closed in the afternoon. Restricted visitor route in the morning, meaning no multimedia guides.
