The Donmar Warehouse’s Olivier Award-winning production of CITY OF ANGELS hits the West End!

A screenwriter with a movie to finish.
A private eye with a case to crack.
But nothing’s black and white when a dame is involved.
And does anyone stick to the script in this city?

This is Tinseltown. You gotta ask yourself: what’s real…and what’s reel…

Josie Rourke’s “ingenious, stupendous revival” (The Telegraph) premiered in 2014, when it was hailed as “a blissful evening” (The Stage) that’s “smart, seductive and very funny” (Evening Standard). With a swinging score by Cy Coleman and David Zippel and a brilliantly witty book by Larry Gelbart, CITY OF ANGELS is a musical love letter to the glamorous world of old Hollywood and film noir.

The West End production will star Hadley Fraser, Theo James, Rosalie Craig, Rebecca Trehearn, Jonathan Slinger with Nicola Roberts and Vanessa Williams.

What people are saying about City of Angels

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Possibly the worst musical I have ever witnessed The theatre as usual magnificent the performance not so , having never heard of the show I was excited about something new and an interesting cast , I found the plot a go no where scenario the first part seemed to go on for ages and wasn’t actually getting bc anywhere the plot was thickening at 21;45 my partner and myself left we were becoming quite bored the singing was mediocre with singing sentences just didn’t flow like a normal west end production I won’t be recommending to anyone unless they want complete boredom

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb Show I went with a fellow actress and trust me - we can be critical! The show was fantastic with great performances all round. Maybe Nicola Roberts needs to work on her acting but hey - she sang very well! I saw the original London production years ago and this was an improvement in every way!
