Netball World Cup 2019 teams announced

With just over a week to go until tickets go on sale, the 16 teams who will compete for netball’s biggest prize when the Netball World Cup 2019 comes to Liverpool next summer have been confirmed.

Commonwealth Games gold medallists England will be second seeds for the tournament, which takes place from 12-21 July 2019 at Echo Arena Liverpool.

The Roses will face stiff competition from arch rivals Australia and New Zealand, as well as other top teams South Africa and Jamaica, as they look to make more history by winning their first World Cup on home soil.

There will be more ‘home nations’ in action, as Northern Ireland and Scotland both head to netball’s most prestigious tournament.

There will be representatives from all five of the INF netball regions, with Malawi, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Fiji, Samoa, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Singapore and Sri Lanka all heading to Liverpool for 10 days of thrilling competition.

Whoever you support, you can book your place to see netball at its dynamic and dramatic best when tickets go on sale at 10am on Wednesday 19 September.
