Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fireworks I have been coming here every year since I was a child. Since they have been doing two events the display isn't as impressive, but perhaps it is just that I am older now! All in all, still an amazingly fun night with a great atmosphere

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good fireworks but too busy the fireworks were great but the event let in too many people. The queue for all the food was ridiculous. also the bonfire was closed after the fireworks, this is the first one I have been too where this is the case

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very disappointing event I'm very disappointed that the firework display was only 20 minutes at Ally Pally this year When the event was free many years ago, the display lasted for 30 minutes. I paid for these tickets and at a high price too, so I should get at least 30 minutes display. When Boris Johnson was mayor, the mayor’s budget paid for the event and it was a good event. I only want to see the firework display and not all of the other stuff. The organisers need to re-think the display duration for those who pay high prices for the tickets. The rest of the night was ok, but was mainly catered for children, except for the disco area and even that was quite disappointing. The DJ was playing some cool tunes, but mainly old school 1970's tunes when his audience ages were between 20-30 something, so the DJ was not playing for the audience, but playing for himself. DJ's should treat their audience as their customers and give those customers what they want. I liked some of the music, but I’m a little older than those that were there. One more thing, none of the food and drink owners accepted credit cards. They said they had no terminal wifi. There were several vans with ATM's to draw out cash, but per transaction amount was charged at £2.99. This was upsetting and annoying for those who just want to have fun, which I didn’t have. I bet having no wifi was a conspiracy between the food and drink owners and cash machine vans. Everything there including the funfair was very expensive per person and the food was in small proportions. If you want to queue for your food for half an hour food or buy it at a fiver or less, don't bother eating there, eat before you arrive if you can. This is the last time I'm going to this firework display event until it is free again as that was much better than this paid for event. This event is out to take your hard-earned money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spectacular fireworks! This is our second year at Alexandra palace fireworks. It certainly didn't disappoint. Lots to do before the fireworks. Plenty to eat and drink funfair for the kids. German bier festival and an ice rink. The laser light show that starts before the fireworks is a sight to behold. The views across London are breathtaking so much to See and do. Great for families and couples alike.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Most poorly organised event Having attended so many concerts, festivals and large sporting events both indoor and outdoor I have to say this was the most poorly organised ever and I'm shocked seeing that its been running for years! The longest queues for food, drinks and toilets that I've ever seen and considering this is a family event with lots of children present it really is not acceptable. Someone told us that they had to go to a quieter section of the park to urinate as it was easier!! The venue is a cash only site which is ludicrous in this day and age and with most people having contactless cards nowadays this would also reduce queues as its much quicker than fumbling around with change which the bar staff were doing (the girl gave the wrong change and we had to talk her through the order and demonstrate how much we were owed). The information desk staff did not have the knowledge to direct us to the nearest underground station saying "I don't know I dont live round here"...!!! The laser show was extremely underwhelming although the fireworks were better but having attended the london NYE fireworks for the last four years running ( amazing, well organised) they certainly didnt live up to the allypally fireworks hype. The music was so off to the fireworks they'd be be better not having it at all...also the DJ played 80's and 90's techno music all night which didnt cater to the youngsters and children at all - why not jusy play pop which caters to most rather than be self indulgent?! All in all a very mediocre night - the ticket price is more than the London NYE display but it most definitely delivers less in terms of entertainment and value for money. Most disappointed - we will stick to a local display next time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointing and not worth the entrance fee. Spent 20 minutes in a queue to get cash from the onsite cashpoint as card payments at the bar weren't allowed. The fee of £2.95 to get cash was outrageous. Spent another 10-15 minutes in the toilet queue. The queues for any kind of food were so long that we couldn't eat there. The site staff on the whole were disinterested and unhelpful.
