Warm up acts were better than the actual performance
Went with friends, everyone was looking forward to it. On calling the venue earlier in the day, we were told the doors open at 7pm, Alyssa would be on stage at 8pm. Some time after 8.15pm, the warm up acts started and they were all really good, great entertainment! There was a break in the acts for a costume change, they said they’d do some more then Alyssa would be out. The warm ups ended up having to do extra acts and improvs because Alyssa still wasn’t ready to come on stage. The warm ups all deserve extra credit for this as they calmed down a crowd that was getting quite annoyed. Eventually, Alyssa came on stage shortly before 10pm. She talked for the majority of the time, did one number and was off the stage within 45mins. She also spent a large part of the time wiping the tip of her nose and rubbing her teeth. I got so bored during her set that I went to the toilet. If it wasn’t for the warm up acts, it would have been awful.
The venue was ok, but the bar ran out of change at about 7.30pm and the toilets were gross and ran out of toilet paper as there was no attendant. There were also massive queues because there were so few toilets.
