What people are saying about Atomic Rooster

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Atomic Rooster deliver the goods First time I'd seen Atomic Rooster since 1972 and I have to say I wasn't disappointed as they played up a storm. I hadn't realised the band had reformed and having discovered they were on at Eel Pie just had to go along. The line up is, of course, somewhat different to days of yore but Pete French(vocals) and Steve Bolton(guitar) are still there and the band sounded as though they'd never been away. The material was mostly from Death Walks Behind You and In Hearing Of, starting with Sleeping For Years and including other classics such as Tomorrow Night, Breakthrough and a stunning Black Snake with Pete French sounding as good as he did on the album. They finished with Arthur Brown's Fire which was great fun and the audience went away very happy. So good to see a band of this vintage playing popular songs so well and I look forward to seeing them again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant night .... Eel Pie Club, Twickenham - intimate venue with people who really appreciate their music. Night kicked off well, a blistering opening set, with virtuoso guitar from The Worried Men, all should quake in their boots to follow, but on came Atomic Rooster, ferocious pounding of the Hammond, thundering rhythm section, better than ever original vocalist and guitar. Loved it then, More than a treat now.....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First time at eelpie Loved the music this band plays since first discovering in the 1970’s. Never thought I would get to see them play live. The show was brilliant and enjoyed the smaller venue, and met some reallly nice people. The experience was well worth and the only thing that put a damper on the evening was the train strike which meant I had to leave before the encore finished to make sure I got my train home for the journey back to west Kent.
