What people are saying about BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would not recommend I expected way better - the time between artists was way too long and agonising, and to have a set of just DJ was boring. The limitations on what you can take into the event, just smacks of money making, and we got bored and left after a couple of hours, would never recommend or return

Rated 4 out of 5 by from May not return Made a weekend of this event and Proms in the Park. Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park was a disappointment in spite of some excellent live music. Too much funk to fill in gaps between the acts. Much tighter restrictions on bag size and no alcohol allowed made it a very expensive day. The queues for food and drink were very long, although the pizzas we bought were very good. Music acts were varied suiting a variety of tastes but like MANY people we left before the headline act.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous Weekend I went to this event on Saturday as part of Rock Choir end enjoyed myself so much, great line up of artists music and entertainment. Spur of the moment decision made the following morning and purchased a ticket for the second day. Another great show with gorgeous weather that didn’t disappoint. Will be returning next year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SisFest19 This is the 7th time my sister and I have come to the Radio 2 Festival in a Day - now known as SisFest. We got to Hyde Park just after gates opened and weather was already warming up - not a cloud in the sky! Simply Red opened the proceedings just after 1pm - Mr Hucknall's still got it! Emilie Sande unfortunately called in sick so Craig Charles cracked out a wicked DJ set which more than made up. Bananrama banged out some of their finer tunes - ❤ u gals! Kelsi Ballerini - unknown to us - was fab. Then Clean Bandit absolutely slayed ... who knew? Few bants about dressing for the weather - it's now 80° odd degrees and the vocalists are wearing puffa jackets! Next on - and who stole the show for us - the Mighty Quo! Back to their rock n roll best - still not quite right without Rick but my God they can bang out a tune! All thrillers no fillers! Bit more from Mr Craig Charles to keep us all on our toes with the sun going down and a little respite from the heat! Westlife up next for their set - World of our Own got a great reception - then 80's set from oo Gary Davis ... our dear old Pet Shop Boys ending a fantastic day in the Park. Can't recommend this event highly enough : £55 for all that? Blummen bargain! Can't wait for next year!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A little dissapointing I thought the event overall could have been better organised. There were alot of lengthy gaps between performances. The screens were occasionaly on when an interview was taking place and at other times you just heard people talking. Having said this, all the performances were brilliant! Allthough some a little short.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Day Out! I went to the event with a group of friends. The organisation was excellent we were through security and into the grounds very quickly. There plenty of clean toilet facilities. There were lots of food stalls selling everything you could possibly think of at reasonable prices. The bars had long queues but, they were well staffed at the queues moved forward quickly so the wait to be served wasn’t very long. The bands were great! The crowd danced clapped and sang along. I would love to go again next year. My favourite group was Clean Bandit.
