Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big on Entertainment Despite missing Jamie who was ill, we were treated to another great night out. Perhaps not the set they planned but it made little difference to our value for money

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Huge disappointment I saw this version of Big Country in Worthing a couple of years ago and whilst obviously not a patch on the band during the late great Stuart Adamson era they put on a decent show. Unfortunately last night was a massive disappointment. The band admitted that two members were unwell but the main issue was that the sound was TERRIBLE. The drums were muddy, there was loads of feedback on lead guitar and a fair few of my favourite songs were really under par. I’m afraid the sound mix was so bad that for the first time ever my friends and I left about three quarters of the way through the show. This was a sad final chapter to the multiple times I have seen the band starting with when they supported The Jam at Wembley back in 1982.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great evening Big Country were great; all the hits were delivered brilliantly. The venue had a great intimate atmosphere and wasn't too crowded even though it was sold out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Crossing - Acoustic Extra As Big Country came on stage Jamie was missing. He had been struck down by a virus. We were therefore treated to a short acoustic set before the full electric set of The Crossing, featuring songs that wouldn't normally be played on this tour, Ships, Look Away, Fragile Thing (with Bruce on vocals) and Where the Rose is Sown. With Jamie missing this meant extra guitar duty for Bruce with support guitar from Simon whose voice was superb. This is the first time I have seen this line up and you will not be disappointed the band sounded fantastic and really enjoyed themselves with a lot of interaction with the crowd. Chance, Wonderland, Fields of Fire and a encore of In A Big Country what a finish. The Crossing really stands the test of time - Happy 35th Birthday!
