Great entertainers - if not a little self-indulgent at times
I was trying to figure out who The Bleachers reminded me of - and then it clicked - the front man is definite echoes of 'The Boss' i.e. Bruce Springsteen.
They are engaging and hugely entertaining. Talking to the crowd, whipping up the crowd - wishing one of the two drummers happy birthday - as well as having a 'riff-off' between the lead singer's guitar and the saxophone player (the latter is a very strong sax player!)
Only slightly boring side was when the lead singer slowed things right down and proceeded to play a slowed down version of one of the classics (which ruined it in my opinion). I do think the crowd was lost as well, as the talking got louder and louder and louder, despite the music.
That said, that was one blip in an otherwise thoroughly enjoyable show. I'd highly recommend people to check out the Bleachers and see them live, otherwise!
