We are extremely excited to announce the billing schedule for the Rise Above Records 25th Anniversary party.
The event will be stretched over two evenings and will feature live performances by ten of our most popular artists, also featuring two very exciting new bands; The Oath and Death Penalty. Flying in from the US and Canada for exclusive appearances are Iron Man and Blood Ceremony respectively. The festival marks the debut UK appearance for Doom Metal legends Iron Man and is Blood Ceremony's first European appearance since highly acclaimed 2013 album The Eldritch Dark.
Headlining Friday nights shows are the enigmatic, Blood-Lusting Cambridge quartet, known to the festival as The Sharon Tate Experience. To add an extra bit of fun to the proceedings, we will be giving away 100 copies each night of a special split 7" single (exclusive to this event only) with The Sharon Tate Experience and greasy faves Admiral Sir Cloudesley Shovell. Each band has recorded their own Festive Christmas hit for the occasion and it's guaranteed to be a classic, highly collectable item. We will be giving away 100 red the first night and 100 green the second night in the raffle. They won't be on sale - RAFFLE ONLY, so good luck to all potential winners.
We will also be selling the event-only Purson 7" The Contract/Blueprints of the Dream. 250 copies will be pressed for the occasion and not on sale elsewhere. There will be a specially commissioned Arik Roper screenprinted event poster and t-shirt on sale as well as one or two other goodies.
Doors are currently scheduled to open at 4pm. Stage times etc will be announced here, closer to the time.
