What people are saying about BRICKLIVE

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Slightly disappointing but ok I went to this event with my son, my sister and her daughters. The children's ages ranged from 18 months to 13 years. The website marketing was really good and my expectations were high. Good points - choosing a session meant that it was not overcrowded so children could go on things without long queues and you weren't at risk of losing a child and there were places to sit. I only saw one talk that was a building challenge and that looked fun and well run. The Lego builds of paw patrol and marine life were good. People dressed up in star wars section were good. Not so good points - the hall was too big for what was in it. In a smaller hall it might have been more impressive. It would have been good to see more Lego builds. The stalls selling Lego were third party sellers and it would have been nice to see an actual Lego official merchandise stall other than those selling Lego storage and t shirts. It was more aimed towards kids who just want to go and build in a big hall. It lacked the overall atmosphere that the website promoted. There were lots of good aspects but overall seemed lacklustre. Had the potential to be so much more.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fantastic event, my 6 year old loved it Brick Live is great fun for all the family, we did however miss the VIP area with coffee shop and lego extras, it was a surprise paying VIP without these facilities just an earlier access time of one hour, less is not more......... please provide last years facilities next year.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Brick live outrageously overpriced for very little. People at the event had the personality of their bricks and was a ckmplete waste of money. I have never been somewhere where accompanying adult pays full price either! Never again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bit of a disappointment I went to this event with my husband and two teenage boys. My boys are avid Lego fans now collecting Architecture range. However this event was more for the younger age group. We were expecting to see the large displays of famous landmarks like St Pancras but there was none of that on display. Therefore we were in and out in half an hour!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Should have looked into this more but I found it pretty boring with not a lot to do that you couldn't do at home with a box of Lego or an Xbox game

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A great day out with my nephew I went to this event with my nephew for his birthday and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I felt there was enough to do for both adults and children. I did feel that the people talking during the presentations could have a bit more energy - the voices were very monotone. I would have preferred that the speakers included more exclusive content or hidden treats that would have been more exclusive for people attending the convention rather than just how to play the game. Like a specific cheat or hw to achieve better scores. I like the fact that there were treasure hunts for children to complete and the exclusive use of Green Arrow for Lego Dimensions was a good choice as well due to the fact it got people engaged. Would definitely suggest taking your own lunch as the food is expensive but the NEC was a good location and easily accessible. Better to get to the NEC by train then drive. I didn't feel there was enough stalls and there was certainly no need for the Dogs Trust to be there.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent day out This was the first event of this type we had been to, we had a fabulous time. Lots to see, do and buy. The lego building pits were great and some of the builds that were created were amazing.
