Chelsea Physic Players: Year Of The Monkey Tickets and Dates
Chelsea Physic Garden, London
The Chelsea Physic Players present: Year Of The MonkeyWe are delighted to present a unique performance of Claire Dowie's iconic series of touching and comedic monologues, Year Of the Monkey. Enjoy three of these monologues, The Year of the Monkey where a mother seeks out some bad behaviour to break up the monotony of her middle-class life; The Allotment in which a community of pensioners accidentally create a radical commune and Bonfire Night, in which a daughter looks for revenge.
This outdoor promenade theatre performance takes place in three settings within the Garden, each chosen to illuminate different elements of the play. The audience will be guided through the Garden to each performance. Seating for those with mobility issues can be provided but the audience will otherwise stand throughout the performances.
In order to provide the safest possible experience, the audience size will be capped at 25 for each performance with three performances each hour. When booking you will therefore be asked to select your starting timeslot. The performances on 2 October are twilight performances combining lighting with the Garden's unique setting to create a unique experience. Please be aware the Garden is unlit and we recommend bringing a torch with you.
Should the event be unable to go ahead in person due to any future COVID restrictions, the event will not be cancelled and a live digital performance from the Garden will be provided on the chosen date and a recording will be made available to you for a fixed period of time.
