What people are saying about Clem Burke & Bootleg Blondie

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bootleg Blondie and Clem Burke at The Grand Clitheroe What a brilliant set. She was a dead ringer for Debbie Harry. From dance moves to vocals to outfits from the videos. Clem was AMAZING on drums and the whole atmosphere was fab! Took me right back to my youth and didn’t want it to end.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Was this a tribute act or the real Blondie? What a fantastic evening’s entertainment! Unfortunately, just the small stage at the Roadmender. Northampton. The performance was deserving of a much bigger crowd. Clem Burke (Original Blondie drummer and powerhouse) was filling the drum seat for Debbie Harris’ Bootleg Blondie. Ms. Harris is a dead ringer for Debbie Harry In both looks and vocal departments. The other band members are thoroughly musically proficient too. The combination of which makes for a thoroughly convincing tribute to Blondie. Tonight the band played two sets. The first a track by track run through of the classic album Parallel Lines. The Second set was filled with classic Blondie tracks. From deep cuts on early albums, through the hits such as Call Me, Atomic, Sunday Girl, Maria and many more. There was also a smattering of covers such as Nancy Sinatra’s ‘These boots are made for walkin’ and Dame Shirley’s ‘Goldfinger’. All played flawlessly and punctuated with Clem Burke’s fantastic drumming. This was as close as you could hope for to seeing Blondie themselves. The bizarre twist came at the end of the evening when they played The Jam’s ‘Town Called Malice’ - it was actually very good but...strange... I would recommend that anyone who appreciates great music and nostalgia sees CBBB if they get get the chance **** 9/10
