for the Eleventh Year of the Cornbury Music Festival
Friday July 4 - Sunday July 6 2014

Following on from such a memorable tenth anniversary year, the Cornbury Music Festival will once again deliver a fantastic event with great music at its very core. From local acts to national treasures, The Cornbury Music Festival is dedicated to creating another year of great live performances sure to entertain a diverse audience over the three-day July weekend.

The festival, staged at the stunningly beautiful Great Tew Estate in Oxfordshire from July 4 - 6 2014, will continue its long-standing tradition of including something for all the family. As Britain's most civilised and upmarket festival, The Cornbury Music Festival is this summer's hotspot for catching great music while hanging out with the Chipping Norton Set!

Here's the 2014 line-up.SO FAR.

Friday features breaking Dublin duo Hudson Taylor, perfect pop stars The Feeling, great American troubadour Suzanne Vega, and the creators of `Everyday People' and `Mr Wendal', Arrested Development. Friday night wraps up with the strictly-singing pop diva Sophie Ellis Bextor and national treasure Jools Holland with special guests ex-Spicer Melanie C, and Soft Cell's Marc Almond.

The festivities continue on Saturday with festival favourite Jon Allen and American blues travellers Reverend Payton's Big Damn Band. The latter part of the afternoon will include Bruce Springsteen's fellow New Jersey singer and friend, Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes featuring Gary US Bonds, and chart topping Nina Nesbitt. Other artists include Illinois rocker Lissie, 60s icon Georgie Fame with Guy Barker's 16 piece big band, pop-hit makers Scouting for Girls, and Scottish rock legends Simple Minds.

Come Sunday, the festival goes pop with performances from X Factor 2013 winner Sam Bailey and finalist Luke Friend, and an eclectic cocktail of Caribbean flavoured Kid Creole & The Coconuts, 70s hit-makers 10cc and the Japanese Jeff Beck `Kill Bill' theme tune writer Tomoyasu Hotei. Closing the festival on the Songbird Stage is Celtic fusion band Peatbog Faeries, with Sunday's main stage headliner still under wraps.

A great line-up of comedy stars will be announced soon, the fantastic children's zone with countless programmes along with an extensive fairground will keep kids entertained all weekend long, and we'll see the return of the brilliant Festival of Words hosted by Qi and Unbound.

Quote from Cornbury Music Festival Director, Hugh Phillimore:

`Once again I think we've managed to get a brilliant cross-section of great music - which is of course what we're all about. Lots of old favourites, all great performers along with some very diverse new talent from a double Grammy Award winning new country star to an X Factor winner with a brilliant story. Old and new Top 10 artists along with international faces - a Japanese movie score writer and US bluesmen - with British national treasures to boot. With Cornbury's unique family atmosphere, it's going to be a lot of fun.'
