What people are saying about Crack Cloud

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best “new” band I think I’ve ever seen??? Saw them at the Tin in Coventry supporting (equally) superb Omni. Very serious bunch on lads, two of whom I’d spotted pre gig, and when they came on, I didn’t know what to expect. Too often you’re less than impressed at the “warm up” or supporting band, and for a whil there’d been no news on who the support were for Omni. Anyway they came on and were amazing. Harsh, bold, melodic and consuming. Most gigs I go to, or have had the opportunity to go to, there are often talkers (like why go to a MUSIC gig if you’re just going to talk over the band you’re there to see??) and no one - NO ONE - spike over this act. They were simply hypnotic. The noise, oh the noise was a beautiful wash of sound covering you and cleansing you of preconceived ideas of the post punk nature of the band. Equal parts Pop Group with some Magazine and Birthday Party; is there a way to describe them akin to any other band? Really? No. You have to see them. You must. Tied together around the electric Zach (sp?) on drums/lead vocals and the keyboardist/multi instrumentalist the band is pinned yet wild. I can’t get them out of my head, ears or car stereo.
