What people are saying about Echo And The Bunnymen

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don’t go to a gig at the Alber Hall ! I have Echo & The Bunnymen twice before and they were excellent. Unfortunately the acoustics in the Royal Albert Hall are appalling, could understand a word Ian was saying when he addressed the crowd. In terms of the playlist, it wasn’t great. I’ve been a fan since the early 80’s and most of the crowd we’re about my age. They insisted on playing songs from their new album, that’s great but it was very up and down. Just as they got the crowd going with an old classic, we were brought back down with something we didn’t know. Promote your album, but know your audience! Use the new stuff at the beginning to get the crowd interested and for goodness sake end on a belter!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Performance Echo up to their usual high standards and a great choice of venue. My only critic would be the sound could have been louder.....we're not too old yet!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ok sound was great, lighting was ok, set list was a crowd pleaser - pity they showed no interest or enjoyment in playing live. Mac tried to charm the crowd but in the end, the show was them just going through the motions. Go see them if you haven't for a while but don't expect it to be the best high you'll see all year - unless it's your only gig.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from echo and funnymen at the Albert Hall 2018 The Albert Hall is a magical venue, ian and will didn't disappoint this was a fantastic concert playing many hits and other favourites, 19 songs two encores. The crowd would have stayed for a third encore and many hoped they might come back worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Bunnymen I had arranged to take my girlfriend to this as a valentines present, she was thrilled and wasn't disappointed, we loved it, their orchestral arrangements of some of their back catalogue was brilliant! I've seen them do this with the Ocean rain album in the past and was just as good, McCullochs voice is spot on for this.. The venue the Sage arena in Gateshead is very impressive and chosen specially for the strings addition, we also had something to eat there before the concert, really nice and chilled out, will hopefully go back there, staying over the river in Newcastle meant we could walk there and was a lovely place to stay!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, as ever They’ve always been a great live band and while McCulloch's voice is more fragile than it once was, it was perfect for these new stripped back versions of old songs. They could always write a good tune and the new arrangements, with string quartet rather than layers of electric guitar, suited many of the songs featured here. If will be interesting to hear the recorded versions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Don’t think they wanted to be there! Good musically, but was a bit flat. Didn’t really get going! Really enjoyed the support Enation, despite their technical issues!
