More Information about Elf - A Christmas Spectacular

ELF, the Broadway musical based on the hit Will Ferrell movie, is supersized into a huge Christmas spectacular this December. It's the heart-warming story of how human Buddy, raised by Santa's elves at the North Pole, travels to New York to find his real father, falls in love and brings Christmas happiness to everyone. Starring award-winning Coronation Street actress and singer Kym Marsh as Buddy the Elf's girlfriend, Jovie, and Shaun Williamson (Barry Evans in EastEnders, Extras, Al Murray's Great British Pub Quiz) as Buddy's dad Walter Hobbs. Buddy the Elf will be played by the hilarious comedy actor Tam Ryan, ensuring lots of laughs. The cast also features Father Christmas, and a dozen cirque stars, in a cast of 100. This unique production has three stages, so you are always close to the action, with a giant 30 foot-tall Christmas tree that the audience get to decorate, a flying sleigh, and high octane stunts. In case you miss anything, there are enormous TV screens relaying the action that also show amazing CGI scenery. Don't be a cotton-headed ninny muggins - make sure you get your family tickets now!

What people are saying about Elf - A Christmas Spectacular

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the money I paid nearly £1000 for our family of 14 to go to this show and it was really rubbish. the show was of very poor quality in terms of the acting and singing. The whole show seemed like it was an amateur performance and not of the standard that the price inferred. The circus parts did not link in any way with the rest of the show and it seemed like they were just add ons that gave no real value to the show. The pre-show experience was also poor - I couldn't get through to SEE to get answers to questions. I paid for VIP tickets but really didn't get any sort of VIP experience.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointing A somewhat rewritten version of the film which the kids didn't appreciate or understand. Stale 'humour', slow dialogue and generally a very poor and boring experience. Kym Marsh giving her own daughter a special mention at the end was stomach churning. Would not go back or recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from We left in the break - waste of a lot of money The show was not sold out and we fully understand why. Bad acting, poor singing and we wonder what the definition of special effects is. Total waste of money and we feel ripped off

Rated 1 out of 5 by from God Awful Awkward. Terrible banter. Aggressive and trying desperately to be funny. Save yourself an evening and go and buy the film on TV.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful It was so bad half of the audience walked out. Laughed so much walking out with other people security was trying to stop us

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gutted This was meant to be a special treat for my family but ended up being far from it! It was in no way the magical experience we were expecting and although sorely tempted to leave in the interval we stuck it out hoping and praying it would improve (it didn't) wooden acting and the songs were totally forgettable. The decorating of the Christmas tree was a joke, everything was cheap and tacky, don't think I'd have noticed if kim marsh had been replaced by a cardboard cut out. So so disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great show Great show the only negative was there only being one food stall in the arena that we found and there was a 20 min wait on hot food as well as the quque of over 60 people but show was fantastic

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Utterly forgettable I really wish we hadn’t bothered going to this. The ticket price was grotesquely over priced and the show was so boring we left during the interval. I think ‘Buddy’ did the best he could with what little script they had been given but the rest of the actors were wooden. I was very surprised by Kim Marsh’s performance especially, she looked bored and miserable. The songs took up a lot of the ‘performance’ but they were not catchy or Interesting, I noticed a lot of children around me getting very bored and I found myself getting very bored. The best bit was deciding to leave before the second half.
