What people are saying about Frank Turner

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Empire Coventry 4th July 2109 Brilliant night all in the name of Charity WAYout Arts helping underpriveledged youth in Sierra Leone. Acoustic show supported by Jess Guise and Johnny Lloyd. I was right at the Front Centre. A 1st for me at a F.T show. Thoroughly enjoyed show and as usual Frank never disappoints with a selection of music including a couple from the new album No Mans Land

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic performer Have seen Frank a number of times in both big and small venues. The empire was a great venue to show Frank’s more personal side. With just a guitar as back up he rattled through a superb back catalogue whilst throwing in a few rarities and new songs. He never disappoints. Never pass up the chance to see him

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Without doubt the best live act ever. Through my 55 years , I have not seen a better live act. The Clash for their pure energy run him close and I have seen all genres. Coldplay with the amazing wrist and light show, but to stand this time as one man with acoustic guitar and make the whole show still as up beat without his band behind him. The whole and I mean whole audience singing as backing vocals were in awe of every note played and lyric sung. At every gig I've been to I am still amazed at how everyone knows all the lyrics. The age group of followers is so wide. I introduced my kids to Frank around 8 years ago and now their friends follow him as well. If can choose one live show to go to later this year when the new album comes out go and see Frank. You will have the best night every and possibly have your faith in human kindness restored.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More Of The Same From The Best Live Act In The UK Lost Weekends was just the latest stop on The Sleeping Souls determined effort to prove themselves the Hardest Working Band In Britain, and like every other time I've been lucky enough to see them they were on top form. I've long felt that FT is akin to a British Springsteen with his everyman social conscience, his storyteller lyrics and his easy ability to switch between bombastic swagger, raging against injustice, and amiable tenderness as the song requires. But the most obvious parallel is that, just with E Street, a night with Frank and the Souls is a religious experience for non-religious people, an all-in fusion of performer and crowd in celebration of our shared lives, hopes, fears and dreams, an all singing, all dancing outpouring of love and humanity. Because he's right, something as simple as rock n roll WILL save us all. Frank Turner goes out every night and proves it. It is always a privilege and a joy to be present when he does.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Even better than last year Went to Lost Evenings, again on my own. Made the most of the Last Minutes events, the Workshops plus the Camden Markets. It's a fantastic, inclusive community event.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fantastic feel good night out!!! This was my first visit to the Roundhouse and what a fantastic surprise. The whole thing was well organised, I loved the layout of the main arena and all the bands were entertaining, particularly the ones on the main stage, with Frank finishing things off in style!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ninth time seeing the amazing Frank Turner Having seen Frank locally several times, we decided to take a trip to Bristol to see him somewhere new. The O2 Academy is a great venue in the centre of the city. Being tiered, there are plenty of opportunities to get a good view of the stage and a decent bar where you don't have to wait ages to be served. Frank & The Sleeping Souls as ever gave a great performance lasting just under 2 hours. They played some of the new stuff along with the old favourites - I have no idea where these guys get their energy from. Frank puts his heart & soul in to every performance and just gets better and better.
