What people are saying about FROM THE JAM "That's Entertainment" Acoustic Tour

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must See 6th time we’ve seen FTJ & the best by far. If you get the chance to see the acoustic tour take it. The lyrics which we all now & love are that much more powerful acoustically and all helped by 3 (or in this case 5) superbly talented musicians. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shut your eyes and travel back in time What a great gig, hit after hit after hit and the true sound of the jam. Already have tickets for Dorking in October.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Foxton and Co. playing The Jam with a twist Fantastic set list as ever and pure quality. I guess some people may have been upset that they were sat down and couldn’t see (despite the raised stage). Wasn’t an issue for me as I was at the very front - great gig chaps.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great venue, Good night out Glad From the Jam are around Always great to hear tracks across the album range live, with an original member in Bruce. And Gavin Hastings handles the vocals really well. Only downer being they sat down all night due to it being an acoustic set, so never really saw them all night as they were below head height even though we stood around six people back from the front. Would still recommend though, as there is nothing better than a night of top drawer Jam music.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from From the Jam Epsom Playhouse May 15th A great night at Epsom playhouse, its the first time I had visited this venue, parking was incorporated in the centre what could better other than the band of course! FTJ were supported by Dennis Greaves and Mark Feltham from Nine Below Zero fame, both great musicians and a thoroughly entertaining set despite the fact that I am not a Blues or C&W fan. DG's vocals are seriously underrated. Now for the Main act, FTJ not seen them since 2009 at Brighton and I was bowled over by the sound even though it was an acoustic set it was still powerful. Russel Hastings vocals were superb, sounded just like Weller when they did English Rose, but I don't think he's trying to emulate PW now, but be more himself which is too be admired because he can carry it off. Bruce was his brilliant self on base and vocals. They certainly got the house up and rocking for Heatwave when they were joined on stage by Dennis and Mark. and the ageing crowd from the leafy Downs area stayed up for the rest of the set which included Tubestation, When you're young, Entertainment, Start, Malice, Eton Rifles and Going Underground for an encore. For followers of the Jam back in the day it wasn't quite the same as a gig at the Rainbow Theatre in the late 70's full of edginess, teen spirit and expectation and the seats in the stalls stayed in place! But for an ageing 57 year old it was the next best thing and genuinely brought a tear to my eye. Whether you were a fan of the Jam or not I would have no doubt in recommending to anybody a night out to see From the Jam and guests, just to be able to see such talented musicians up close and personal these days is such a privilege you won't be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Definitely worth going. I saw From The Jam last year and loved the show, so jumped at the chance to see them again so soon. Acoustic music isn’t normally my thing, but this gig was amazing! The only reason that I haven’t given 5 stars is that, even though it is very obvious that I’m disabled, I was left standing in a corridor for 15 minutes after the venue was supposed to open and had to almost beg to be allowed to sit down. Once I was in the venue, I saw that there was already another disabled person who had been allowed in early.
