What people are saying about Girlschool

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Girlschool within Trillians First heard them when I was sitting my A Levels. Still just as good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Old school rock show....with a twist I went to this show to rekindle a love from my youth....Girlschool. I hadn't heard of the support band Evyltyde and was extremely pleased at their set. Modern metal with an old school thrash vibe, great vocalist and an overall quality sound. Then we got to Girlschool....what can be said about these ladies that hasn't been written before. From start to finish Kim, Jackie, Tracy & Denise had the crowd in their grasp belting through a back catalogue of classic tracks with the professional approach that 40+ years of experience would ensure. Thoroughly enjoyable gig enhanced by the time the girls spent after signing autographs and posing for photos. It was a great reminder for us older metalheads that we can still rock out....it just takes a bit longer to recover the next day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from like it was. A long awaited return North for the Girls, who performed exactly as expected, playing the songs the audience loved with commitment and energy just like the first time 40 years ago. An excellent night well appreciated. Come back soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic Rock in a Classic venue Trillians used to be the Jubliee '77 a canny little rock bar in Newcastle which was turned into a classy "wine bar" called Trillains with cocktails like Marvin the Paranoid Android and Pangalictic Gargle Blasters and you had to take your leather jacket off to get in! Sadly they couldn't get rid of us rocker/metalhead/biker types and it became great again! so many years on and Girlschool play the little stage in Trills and what a night! Starting with a brilliant intro and Demolition Boys the crowd were hooked and rarely was a song played where most of the audience weren't singing along. A pretty packed out night considering the bad weather with Storm Ciara hitting the shores and it being a Sunday! Evyltyde provided a canny start to the night with lots of banter with the crowd.
