What people are saying about Gods Of Rap

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Came up a bit short (like the line up) As an old skool hip-hop head, I am lucky enough to have seen all these guys before, so I couldn't wait for this gig. DJ Premier did his thing, all good. De La Soul tried to be a bit more gansta that usual but still all good. Then we start going downhill. Public Enemy was not Public Emeny, no Flava Flav! They introduced themselves as Public Enemy Radio (didn't say that on the original line-up!). Chuck D was class as always but with no Flava Flav it lacks something. Wu Tang next, only to find that arguably the best member - Method Man isn't here. They threw on some subs (including YDB who did a fair job replacing his Dad ODB) but a bit too much shouting accross each other and not a tight as I've seen them in the past. One the whole a good night, but I've seen them all better with fuller line-ups.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from False advertising Went to the Berlin show, it was a great venue and sound was amazing, however no method man or Flava flav is just poor. This a anniversary event and not having everyone there is not really what I was expecting to such an awesome line up. De La Soul had an amazing vibe and really got the crowd warm. I had a great time, but was disappointed as Wutang ended the show really early, was like 10:45, no encore unfortunately.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A bit disappointing. I had high hopes for this gig. Alas, it didn't live up to expectations, mainly due to poor sound. De La Soul weren't great, could hardly hear them. Public Enemy turned out to be Public Enemy Radio, with only Chuck D representing the original members. PE are usually one of the best live acts you can see but they really missed the stage presence of Flava Flav and just didn't do it for me. Wu Tang managed to salvage the night (again despite poor sound and without Method Man) with a comprehensive performance of their back catalogue (both as the Wu and solo efforts). Seen all these guys before individually and all were far better in smaller venues than Glasgow Hydro.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Music was unreal, venue perhaps could be better DJ Premier, De La Soul, Public Enemy and Wu Tang were all boss, just didn't particularly like the ‘vibe’ of the Manchester arena, very strict! Still a sick night though
