Glorious Stoner Rock and Doooooom
Went with a group of friends from Brighton to meet up with some London/Canterbury friends for this. The Black Heart is one of my favourite venues although watch out for the smelly staircase. Gas masks at the ready.
The highlight for me was seeing long-time internet friend Nina doing her thing with Lowen, the first support act on. Wonderful vocals. Mesmerising performance. I enjoyed the bands that followed immensely too, especially the collaborations, and the fact that it wasn't all a sausage fest on stage. Headliners Grave Lines were awe-inducing sludgey droning goodness, with smooth vocals where you'd normally expect screeching given the genre of band. Top notch.
