What people are saying about Guinness Six Nations @ Flat Iron Square

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pure craic! I booked this event as I thought it was incredibly low priced for a Beoga gig (seen them before both for free and for a much dearer ticket) and including a drink (well, THE drink in Paddy's Day...) plus being ticketed it would not be too busy. I definitely wasn't disappointed! Even if the weather was not the best the atmosphere was great and everybody was in a cheerful and friendly mood. As an Irish dancer, I appreciated the presence of dancers from the McGahan-Lees school and I could not help getting on the dance floor myself, and teaching a couple of basic steps to a few people who seemed very happy to be given the chance (an interactive dance workshop is something worth thinking about for next year?). The quality of all music acts was good but the highlight was surely a brilliant performance by Beoga and the great vibe supporting it. All in all, a fantastic afternoon of authentic Irish craic.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The Rugby Pod Podcast: Love the podcast - but let down on the night I went to this event as a huge fan of rugby and of the Podcast. However I found the night extremely disappointing. Firstly, everyone knows that Guinness takes longer to pour and free pint tokens were handed out. How on earth could there not have been pre-poured guinness ready to when people arrive with a token. We qued for hours and had to double up on drinks to ensure we dont have to wait for a pint. we then left early and headed to another bar to ensure we actually got a drink. Secondly, the venue is quite slopy and the stage seemed to have been at the bottom of the slope. it would have been nice if Jim Hamilton and Andy Goode were on raised seats. couldnt see them. or at least up on screen. I am a fan of the venue and would like to see improvements for the next podcast event. regards Ryan
