Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gwenno gig at the Louisiana Bristol I went to see Gwenno with a friend as we both enjoy her music. All the cornish mythology made it very interesting + entertaining. I like the way she spoke linking between the songs, something I rarely see. The venues nice , the music was played upstairs. the nearby parkings in its early days there I hope it will improve.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous location, fabulous music! A converted convent, the Ucheldre Centre in Holyhead was the perfect atmospheric backdrop for a night of otherworldly electronica. Electro-folk due Fiona & Gorwel Owen provided fittingly beautiful and quirky musical landscapes. They were followed by Gwenno, whose set, mainly sung in Cornish, demonstrated clearly that you don't need to understand the words to understand the music. At times haunting and wistful and occasionally returning to her alt-pop Pipette roots, especially with the glorious ode to cheese, Eus Keus?, Gwenno is an engaging and very talented performer who doesn't let small matters like language barriers get in the way of a good tune.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thought provoking entertainment! Fiona and Gorwel had lovely songs, sensitive lyrics and great guitar, banjo and concertina, and fantastic harmonies. Gwenno and band were excellent, emphasising the importance of keeping minority languages alive but done in a contemporary and entertaining way!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great performance! I thoroughly enjoyed Gwenno's performance at Ucheldre Arts Centre. It was a nice venue, striking when one first walks in with great sound and lightning. I was however disappointed to find that it was a seated performance. I believe that room for people to stand and dance would have better suited Gwenno's performance. If they really did require for it to be seated it would have been better if this had been advertised before hand so we could arrive in due time to claim good seats. As it was we arrived during the support act's set so we had to stand on the sided during that to avoid disturbing others and had to settle for being in the front for Gwenno's performance. Still, she and her band were magnificent and I would gladly sit in the same seats again if it meant seeing the set again.
