Smallest fun gig I’ve been too in a while
Wasn’t sure what to expect of the band or the gig. The venue is small, think a junior schools assenmbly hall, and so gives off the air of something special that you’re witnessing.
For a small set up the sound was loud. But in the mix the vocals came out a little muffled and vague at times. This didn’t stop the overall enjoyment of the evening as the musicians played well, had great interaction with the crowd and they played a little beyond the curfew time (sshhh, don’t tell anyone).
Having never been to the venue before I didn’t realise it was unlicensed as I’d have brought drinks with me as I was driving and my son doesn’t drink.
The venue itself isn’t that easy to find and if you’re coming from out of the city it really means that you need to find a NCP to park as trying to find a spot in Brighton is like looking for unicorns tears.
Overall a good venue which I’d use again and a band that I’d definitely see again if they come over from LA.

Here Lies Man superb with Driving Bass Lines Heavy Funk Rock! Like Led Zeppelin jamming with Fela Kuti
Unique individual sound that I hope will tour UK in the future.
