What people are saying about International Teachers of Pop

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top of the form!!! Been listening to their album, which is the best debut album since the scissor sisters and decided I had to see them live. the set kicked off with Praxis makes prefect which was not my favourite track on the album, but it totally made sense as an intro and is now one of my faves. They proceeded to play nearly the whole album and it was like a greatest hits set- all killer and a fab, if not definitive, version of Another brick in the wall. All in all a great gig...!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great indie pop set with strong feeling Great set, the lead singers were brilliant. Guy on the keyboards induly negative about Jews and the south. Shouted for beer mid song. Should’ve been funny but wasn’t. Shame, he confused and alienated the audience. Very strange ending. Feel sad, I should’ve been raving about the gig.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gloriously camp and deeply sarcastic I had only heard two of their songs before buying the ticket and then they released the album. Great album fast powerful electro pop with nods to kraftwerk and moroder. Gig was great the vocalists dancing in pyjamas and waving all sorts of neon artifacts. They are so full of joy and attitude and can make a room full of middle aged fogies join in. The guy with the hat on keyboards made the odd sarcastic and funny comment but the music spoke for itself. A great gig and a band well worth seeing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don’t miss this band Just seen ITOP at The Cluny Newcastle. Absolutely brilliant. My partner was admitted to hospital by emergency 4 weeks ago but was determined to get to this gig - they did, and loved every minute!!! ITOP are refreshing, creative, fun and you can’t help but dance. I’ve bought the album but can’t wait for their next time back in Newcastle..... at the weekend! Thank you for a fab night

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous Amazing Love Them Saw them first at Bluedot and just seen them at Sneaky Pete's. Again fabulous ... sadly for me personally, like so many bands these days, the music rather over powered the singers, so often hard to hear the voice. That said I never stopped dancing and would go see them again in a heartbeat. Please add Newcastle to your next tour. Love you all xxxxx

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible, mind blowing, saw them 2 times Saw two gigs and I’m coming back for more next year. My new favourite band (apart from The Moonlandingz/ ERC etc). Loved everything about them including the inbetween song chat. I hope they keep touring...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good gig in great venue Support band Viagra Boys were a revelation and a hard act to follow. The ITOP have come a long way in a short time and gave a slick and energetic performance. Brudenell is an excellent venue with cheap beer!
