Really high energy night, ITOP gave us fun and dance throughout their set, the girls sassyness and sense complimented by a relentless drum beat and electronic wizardry. Excellent night to get the party started!!!

Is this the patriarchy in action?
Good gig - great crowd, lively performance, great songs, but it got me wondering: two young female singers fronting with much energy and interaction; two charmless semi-mute grey-beards behind the keyboards clearly in charge. Left a question in my head, similar to the one I had after seeing the Moonlandinz a while back.

Brilliantly fun night out
We discovered ITOP by accident in Brighton when they were the only gig in town on a Monday night. This was a rare trip to ‘that London’ for them - as the grumpy synth man said ‘we don’t like London, but you’re ok’. The best thing about them is the ridiculous contrast between the dour men and joyful women in the band. Their outfits, dance routines and general campness are a joy to behold. ABBA meets the Cheeky Girls meets Whyte Horses (I think there’s a link with the latter). If you can catch them live, do go!

Top of the form!!!
Been listening to their album, which is the best debut album since the scissor sisters and decided I had to see them live. the set kicked off with Praxis makes prefect which was not my favourite track on the album, but it totally made sense as an intro and is now one of my faves.They proceeded to play nearly the whole album and it was like a greatest hits set- all killer and a fab, if not definitive, version of Another brick in the wall. All in all a great gig...!!!

Great indie pop set with strong feeling
Great set, the lead singers were brilliant. Guy on the keyboards induly negative about Jews and the south. Shouted for beer mid song. Should’ve been funny but wasn’t. Shame, he confused and alienated the audience. Very strange ending. Feel sad, I should’ve been raving about the gig.

Gloriously camp and deeply sarcastic
I had only heard two of their songs before buying the ticket and then they released the album. Great album fast powerful electro pop with nods to kraftwerk and moroder. Gig was great the vocalists dancing in pyjamas and waving all sorts of neon artifacts. They are so full of joy and attitude and can make a room full of middle aged fogies join in. The guy with the hat on keyboards made the odd sarcastic and funny comment but the music spoke for itself. A great gig and a band well worth seeing.
