Great end to my week!!
An hour of laugh out loud humour from Jamie - what a tonic to finish my week! The venue at Behind the Wall is very rustic, almost school classroom-like with the hard wooden chair and metal legs which screech when pushed or pulled along the floor. I would imagine that was quite disconcerting for Jamie the first couple of times it happened. We could at least pre-empt when it might happen on seeing people start to move out of their place to get a drink. One of the doors, used by staff, slammed shut a couple of times -why not get that sorted (it may be a fire door, but staff know it bangs shut, they could stop that happening manually when someone isn't stage?).
The noise level in the bar area started to rise half way though the set, which was a bit distracting for me, I'm not sure if Jamie felt the same. It may have been difficult for him to judge whether it was people in the room talking at the same time as him because there were only two curtains between the bar and the venue.
Back to Jamie- lots of relatable humour. I particularly liked the World Buffet story, as did the rest of the room. Shame there were only 20 of us there but we enjoyed ourselves. Great night
