Disappointing sound quality
It was my first visit to Tufnell Park Dome and my first experience of Japanese Breakfast live. The quality of sound was atrocious. The murky sound mix made it almost impossible to hear which key the band were playing in.The singer's vocals were so unclear because of the 'noise' around the sound, it was difficult to pick out words. I like music loud, but when definition is sacrificed for volume then it is not acceptable. Either The Dome PA system is not up to the job these days, or the sound man on the night didn't know what he was doing. A real shame, because the band were working really hard. Incidentally, I've written to the venue, but haven't had a reply. I doubt they will come back to me.

Japanese Breakfast are awesome!
This is the band of the year! If you haven’t picked up on them, you need to. Michelle and the band are so talented and genuine, they raised the roof and then came off stage and chatted with anyone who wanted a word. Awesome!

The band that delivered my favourite album of the year did not disappoint, and far exceeded expectations. Their stage presence, musicianship and Michelle's voice were second to none, a captivating performance. All the songs they played from the debut album Psychopomp sounded even better live and the new song they played at the end was electric. Album of the year, show of the year.
