What people are saying about Jon Hopkins

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blown away - brought me to tears The venue was an incredible sound piece for the exquisite vibes of some of Jon Hopkins most evocative pieces. It was an elixir to the woes of this crisis. From the sublime and delicate to the explosive heart pounding. It had it all. I for one would have watched and absorbed this experience for days. Without doubt one of the best gigs I have been to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely incredible An incredible experience from start to finish, took me and my friends on a journey through light and sound that we have been describing to anyone who will listen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What an experience ! A fantastic concert with Jon moving from grand piano to the decks & mixing beautiful classical piano with dance beats and back in the same piece. The audience response was great - from silence to up on their feet dancing as the piece switched. Ive been hundreds of gigs and festivals over the years, and this was one of the best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a rush. Bridgewater Hall was a first glance an unlikely venue for a Jon Hopkins gig- having only seen him either in a Festival tent at 2am or a town 02 venue awash with beer on the floor. While a concert hall has certain disadvantages- seats, the bar closing during the show - these inconveniences were secondary to a fantastic sound be it the grand piano with violin/cello accompaniment or the decks! While a polite audience sat through the opening grand piano numbers the gig came to life with the emerald rush drop as everyone left their seats to applause almost as loud as the PA system. Once the virus has passed you should see this -.food for a classical soul and your inner dance all in one package.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A musical giant A fantastic night at the bridgewater hall. A slow beautiful classical piano beginning to full on techno with ear splitting genius sounds like no other Jon HOPKINS will be experimenting with all kinds of music, dance music, film scores classical for years to come.....a night to remember.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not expected At first Jon sits down at piano and playing a beautiful piece of mellow music, then enters guitar then 2 violin players to accompany him, they leave and then awesome beats changes the whole thing and the crowd love it me included and then, we'll still trying to work than out what just happened
