What people are saying about La Guns

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fierce and bright How excited was I in anticipation of seeing LA Guns and in particular Phil Lewis - it's been some time Phil. I wasn't disappointed either - it was everything I remembered from days of old, the drama, the directness and uncompromising attitude of the performance and it's undiluted message. Lewis was for me the star act - his commanding presence on stage bringing the gig to life with a visceral intensity which salutes the past glory days of heavy rock. Great stuff Phil and LA Guns, keep it alive and continue to keep the flame burning fierce and bright.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LA Guns give it both barrels I went to see the reunion of one of my favourite LA metal bands of the late eighties/early nineties and indeed a founder member of the more successful Guns n Roses. Having see the band in 1991 and 2001 in their prime, I was fearful that they may have been a jaded version of their former selves. That added to the fact that the guitarist Tracii Guns and vocalist Phil Lewis had previously not spoken for 15 years made for an intriguing return. Could they deliver - a resounding yes. The vocals were strong as ever, not always the case when watching reunions. The guitar solos as fresh as the day they were written and the energy and fervour of delivery really made this more than a "best of tour" The only disappointment was the size of the crowd who turned out in Chester on a Sunday night -these guys deserved better.
