Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is my favourite event of the year so far. It was the first in 2019. I came all the way from Iceland for this show. Besides Mud being Muddy Waters son I knew he is pretty good himself. I enjoyed the show. I was told by other guest that had attended all week that this was the best show.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Very Mixed Bag Beware of Buying the "Season Ticket" for the whole week. I get the impression that the promoters took a look around and shoe horned a couple of touring Soul / R'n'B acts in, on the basis that they might just about do, and there's a little blues in modern R'n'B. The charming Cinelli Brothers were excellent. Giles Robson was great. However, Sugar Ray Rayford is NOT a blues artist, never will be, and why he chose to do a terrible cover of "Comfortably Numb" I have no idea, nor does he, I guess. Friday night saw an entirely forgettable female R'n'B singer support Sandi Schor, whose band played sub - Deep Purple rock, with no subtlety or flair at all. It was just Bash, bash, Bash ........... Definitely not a blues band, or even Blues - Rock. Terrible. Mississippi somebody or other was ok on Saturday, but Mud Morganfield just about retrieved the situation with his set, although it was very noticeable his band were a straight pick up band, playing with little improvisation apart from what they could take in their allocated 24 or so bars of soloing. Never seen a piano player play the keys with so many parts of his lower body, though!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Blues I went with my brother Clive and he has asked me to write the review. We thought both bands were fantastic and Mud Morganfield looked and sounded the business as he belted out his fathers back catalogue of songs, the musicianship was outstanding and we thoroughly enjoyed our night out at the 100 Club. We are looking forward to doing this again in the Future.
