What people are saying about LONDON CALLING play THE CLASH's "London Calling"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epic Night with London Calling Supported by Borrowed Time This is the 4th time we have seen London Calling and they didn't disappoint. These guys nail it every time. My partner is a huge Clash fan and was dubious about going to see a 'tribute band'. We first saw them at Patterns last Autumn/Winter and we had such an amazing experience, we have since seen them in Bournemouth and Southampton events too. Friday's return event at Patterns was fantastic. Venue is small, but that just adds to the 'get up close' experience. The support 'Borrowed Time' put on a great performance, despite the crowds not coming in until late due to the great weather outside. London Calling got us going from the first bar and the whole place was buzzing from beginning to end - big smiles, fantastic atmosphere and much pogo-ing to be seen. Catch them in the Autumn if you can!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What it says on the tin It was advertised as London Calling (the band) play London Calling (the album). Really enjoyed it. The guys blasted out the album with the minimum of fuss. Sounded very much like when I saw the Clash on the 16 tons tour in 1980. Still had time to fit in a few Clash classic tracks before the curfew kicked it. One of my mates took his teenage daughter to her first ever gig. She loved it too! Will go and see them again

Rated 4 out of 5 by from London calling I went to this event with my friend and thought the band were great. They sounded very much like the Clash and I would recommend them to anyone.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't play London Calling They didn't play there more well known tracks. Which was a shame. They are tallented musicians

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Three Brothers The band were great when I last saw them at the Maze, I felt the venue was too big and the gig ended too quickly after only one song for an encore but that was most likely due to the venue forcing the end to happen so abruptly

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like being 1977 again What a fantastic night london calling were marvelous. From start to finish they played at furious pace and pure skill. It was a truly fantastic tribute for the 40th anniversary of the London calling album and a great tribute to the clash and the late great Joe strummer. Also thanks to the band for coming back on stage to play white riot even though they were told not to. Thanks lads for doing that all the audience went home happy fantastic rock n roll

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My ears are still ringing! The support band were far too loud for the venue, painfully loud, some people had their fingers in their ears. London calling were very good though.
