What people are saying about Luna Beach Cinema

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expensive I am outraged at how expensive this has become. What used to be a wonderful part of Brighton and hove summer time has become embroiled in consumerism. What an utter shame.....

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not really worth it... As many others have pointed out the screen is at the west end of the arena, so the setting sun is in your eyes for the first half of the movie. 4 of the panels in the LED screen were lagging behind the rest which kinda ruined the action scenes. There’s signs all over the bar saying how bad plastic is for the oceans, then they have the cheek to serve you drinks in a single use plastic cup with no recycling bins, bit ironic? Making people pour away their water when you don’t have a readily available water source inside is petty. Especially considering how much tickets are! Wouldn’t go again or recommend to a friend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from First outdoor cinema experience Went with my partner. We were initially refused entry as we had just bought fish and chips to take in as we were an hour early. We sat on a bench nearby and saw many people going in having to empty their water bottles, which we thought was disgusting. Was prepared to argue as my better half always has a small flask of tea with her.I thought drinking water or tea/coffee was a basic human right but apparently not.Film was good but hard to see for first half hour due to the sun behind the screen.Atmosphere was good as Quadrophenia was set in Brighton. The sound of the sea and the seagulls added to it.Would NOT go again due to the food and drink issues.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Luna Beach Cinema - Brighton We really enjoyed watching the film on the beach. I think it's a shame that people can't bring snacks onto the beach. I realise you want to make money but it's a captive audience and I think your unnecessarily excluding people. The bar was good but very short staffed with long Qs at the start.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Long queues and no water went on fanzone day. Never again. 45mins to get a drink. Not enough bar staff and terrible queuing system. No readily available water and it was 28°c. They don't allow under 18s on these days and I can see why. Was really disappointed with the experience. Expect it is completely different for film showings but the bar would still be an issue. Would not recommend.
