What people are saying about New Scientist Live 2018

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Major Very unique experience. Glad I did not miss it. There was so much to learn but sometimes we had to miss activities as queues too long! Also closing time 5pm was far too early!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Review We weren't happy with our experience, we thought that our ticket for VIP would include everything but was dissappointed that we had to pay for a show at one of the exhibitors stand. We was only very upset that no one hepled out with our query in person, we kept getting passed round to different people and they all said we don't know. I totaly feel that I have wasted my money buying a VIP pass and we weren't happy with our experience overall.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful value for money ! Terrible queues ! Don't bother No value from the VIP tickets. Prohibitive cost to access this event. Kids disappointed. Adults angry. Why put something on so expensive where you cannot even move from one stall to the next. Marketing material misleading. Terrible staffing. A total con by New scientist.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok Event was ok, wouldn't go again. Some good stuff there, nothing overly amazing. The lectures were however very good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favourite science event of the year Went on my own and it was the first i have ever been to. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the stands. The talks were very informative. I do think the venue scape needs to be bigger as a number of people were standing blocking aisles. Will definitely be interested in going next year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great day out I ate bugs, had my superhero portrait drawn, planted seeds, talked to a specialist about how my brain works, raced my car using salt water, blown paint on the cave wall and made my very own hand flint in the ancient craft workshop. If only I'd time to listen to the speeches and talk to more of the stall holders. Good thing I went on my own - I'd have been terrible company!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect event for mid teen boys I took my 2 boys (12 and 13) they were engrossed for 3 hours (unheard of!) anything with 3d viewing glasses was great, the cars were great. I enjoyed the space and human body areas. My only complaint would be the overcrowding and therefore lengthy wait for some activities. I would not hesitate to go again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from a promising start Full of interesting stalls and lectures. But overall it lacked an overall picture. One had to peer closely to find out most stalls were `'selling". But I'll be back next year, and with my knowledge-thirsty grandsons.
