Bought tickets for my boyfriend’s birthday and wasn’t expecting much but both acts were brilliant. Vital Idles were a good find: grungy, low fi and with a great sense of honour. As for No Age, two people surely can’t make that much noise! Layers on layers and seem less shifting between songs. They totally worked with the crowd, playing belters to get the mosh pit started and sticking in cool down tracks when folk were getting a bit overexcited.
I expected the crowd to be full of the usual too cool bunch but actually everybody was getting right into it. Never have I been at a happier gig. Great to see the band manning their own merch stalls. WOULD RECOMMEND!
