What people are saying about Nothing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most memorable night Went to this show knowing 2 things: Nothing are a band whose music I love, and The Cluny is one of the best, if not THE best live music venue in Newcastle. Things only got better. Frequenting The Cluny as much as I do you get to know that turning up early for food (amazing btw) beforehand is often a good way to see and if you're lucky meet the band you're there to see. So I was like an excited child when the band sat on the table next to ours and had some food & drinks. I was posting stuff about the band and the gig on Instagram and Dominic (Nicky) turned around and asked if the posts were me. What followed was Nicky and Brandon shaking my hand and photographing my arm, heavily tattooed with band names/logos and generally being super nice guys. The show was tremendous. Suburban Living supported and were well suited, being Philly natives like Nothing. Nothing were intense, powerful and beautiful, as I expected. After the show I pass Brandon in the corridor and I ask if he would like a drink, so we drink and talk about shows, venues and European cities for what seemed like ages. I help the band load up some of their gear and we shake hands and hope to meet again next year. Won't forget this show ever. The Cluny has showed itself to be the best time and time again. Go, you won't regret it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Prefer on record Their latest album is one of my favourite releases of the year. However live it didn't quite live up to the majesty I was expecting. Murky sound, buried vocals, wonky harmonies. Occasionally it all clicked into place and you got a sense of what might have been.
