Rated 5 out of 5 by from Peter Perrett at the Islington assemmbly hall The Perrett, was excellent as always. Supported by his sons and friends the band seems to be breaking new ground, in particular the vocal duet between Peter and the female violinist had echoes of Leornard Cohen. It was a strong blend of the deep male voice and complementary female voice. The sound wasn't as good as wen i saw them at the eletric ball room, at times Peters voice was too low in th mix, at one point it couldn't be heard at all. This of course is a crime becuase one of the central aspects of Peter is his unique amazing voice. Peter Perret is a brilliant song writer and performer he unique and does things his own way and always has. If you haven't seem him get along to a gig now !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best gig of the year Loved this gig so much, always a pleasure to hear this genius sing such brilliant songs. Everything I have always loved for many years, rolled into a perfect set, including fantastic new tunes... Thanks Peter and band, you will always be the One and Only...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My big night out... After a hearty walk along the Brighton Seafront I arrived at a quaint old venue complete with sprung dance fall. My 1st visit to Concorde 2 proved to be a night of surprises. Peter Perrett and his band played a set of beautifully link tunes from his their new album How the West Was Won. A romantic journey of poetically written songs drew me and the audience into a night of pure seduction It was like going to the theatre, watching a film and having a dammed good dance all rolled into one. I bought the vinyl and will return to the venue especially if the Peter Perrett band returns Tyrone Thomas

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Peter Perrett ! A superb set, brilliant band, mixing old numbers with tracks from the new LP How the West was Won, obvious high light being a storming rendition of Another Girl Another Planet. X

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The return of the One Much has been written about how Peter Perrett has somehow resurfaced in 2017 ,cleaned up after years of self abuse with a superb new album and his familiar nasal vocal chords seemingly back at full strength .Moreover it is very unusual for a revered artist from the past with a catalogue as strong and rarely performed as the Only Ones to keep the audience totally and utterly onside by playing all the songs from a brand new album (and some newer than that) after a hiatus of over 30 years but that is what Peter Perrett managed to do.Its very unlikely that an audience for the Rolling Stones,U2 or even Coldplay would be as interests to hear so many songs from their latest albums to the exclusion of all but one or two from the past... Backed up by a great band including two of his sons (and a daughter in law?),one of the most rocknroll venues in London -Perrett reminisced about his last gig in the electric ballroom in 1982-this was the most exhilarating gig of the year so far and surely his excellent album "How the west was one" should end up in the top albums of 2017 if there is any justice in the world...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fate or Gods Is it fate or the Gods we need to thank? Peter Perrett returning to Manchester looking fine fettle and sounding resplendent, backed by his super tight band, fully doing justice to his exemplary new material and past master works. The gig of 2017.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purely pleasurable Perrett What a joy to see Peter Perrett make a comeback and go on a World Tour. Amazing to hear such great delivery of both his fantastic new material and brilliant back catalogue from The Only Ones. Great vocals backed by the superb musicianship of a wonderfully talented band, Zena must be so proud. Fresh and still so relevant.
